The REZ Factor - Heat 2
Thursday 14th January 2010
Well heat 2 of The REZ Factor got underway on a much better night, weather wise, than last week but unfortunately only drew five entrants in total.
Singing 1st again on the night was Karaoke Kris who this week decided to sing Come On Eileen by The Dexy Midnight Runners. Kris belted it out in his own way but could only draw a tiny applause from the audience at the end of the song.
The next singer up was Azre-Al who again tried his luck in the competition this week with the Elvis Presley song Don't. I think the audience were thinking Don't bother as they seemed less than impressed with his performance as they gave him a ripple of applause as he finished.
The 3rd singer was local lad Alan C. who chose to sing the karaoke classic Angels by Robbie Williams. Alan has sung this song many times and it showed in a confindent performance and a nice cheer greated him as he finished off. It was good enough to gain Alan 3rd place on the night.
Up next was Danielle who this week was hoping to go one better than last week with the Allanah Miles song Black Velvet. It was sung pretty much note perfect and all of Danielle's friends and supporters gave a big cheer & round of applause as she finished.
And finally the last singer on the night was Alan W. who was back again this week to try the Paul Weller song Broken Stones. This was sung very well too even though it is quite a new song for Alan. He received a good round of applause and he was rewarded by gaining 2nd place.
But it was to be Danielle's night after all the votes had been counted and she received her free five pints and of course a place in the Grand Final on the 1st April 2010.
I hope to see you all again next week for some more
REZ Factor action!
