The REZ Factor - GRAND FINAL
Thursday 1st April 2010
So The Grand Final of The REZ Factor finally arrived and it was a full house that greeted the finalists and guests alike. Unfortunately, out of the 12 finalists, only 10 turned up on the night.
It was decided, that to make the numbers up slightly, we would offer a wild card entry. This wild card was given to Karaoke Kris seeing he was the only person who had entered all of the 12 heats prior to the final.
For the final, instead of the audience deciding who won, we had four judges who gave marks for the contestants as well as passing comment on their performances. The judges were all singers and performers in their own right. They were - Lisa & Lindsay, James Wales and Mick James.
So we got underway with a dramatic opening and the title music. The first singer should have been Justin but he unfortunately didn't show up much to the disappointment of myself and others.
So it was left to Emma Foster to open the night and she sang "Ironic" by Alanis Morrisette. Emma was suffering from a sore throat but still managed to pull off a good performance. She received good, positive comments from all four judges. For her 2nd song she stuck with Alanis Morrisette but this time sung "Hand In My Pocket".

Singing next was Azre'al Coles who chose one of the songs that got him into the final as his first number. He sang "Don't" by Elvis Presley with good tone and posture. Mick commented that it was one of his favourite Elvis songs and that he did the song justice. He followed this up with "The Green Green Grass Of Home" by Tom Jones which went down well with the audience.

The next contestant was Grace Coles (Azre'al's daughter) who took to the stage looking a tad nervous. But she opened up her voice with her 1st number "Killing Me Softly" by The Fugees. The judges were very impressed with the 19 year old, although James didn't like the song but enjoyed the performance.

To be continued......
