St. Patrick’s night at The Resolution proved to be a good night with a good crowd and a total of seven singers entering the competition.

And it was to be an Irish band in the form of Westlife that was sung by the first singer, Karaoke Kris. He yet again had a go at singing "Mandy". He must seem confident that this song will get him through to the final as it’s the 5th time he’s done it! Not a lot of people even realised that he’d finished the song until prompted by myself. He somehow managed to get 3rd place on the night!

Up next was Kassy who tried her luck again with "Sundown" by S Club 8. Always sung very well and confidently, Kassy put in a good performance and received a nice round of applause.

Singing 3rd was Andy who this time had a go at "Summer Of ‘69" by Bryan Adams. It was a very respectable version of the song although it didn’t seem to go down that well with the audience for some reason.

The next singer was Ed who sang "True" by Spandau Ballet. He sang it very clear and powerfully and did the song justice with a good performance. He received a good cheer and applause from the audience.

Amanda was our next performer who sang "Make Me Feel Your Love" by Adele. Almost pitch perfect, she didn’t disappoint with a good performance of this popular ballad. She received a very good round of applause at the end of the song.

The sixth singer was John who this week tried "Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Cyrus. Always a very popular country tune, John didn’t disappoint with a good version of the song. He was appreciated by the audience as he finished.

And finally the last singer was Adam who sang "Angels" by Robbie Williams. Adam performed this song very well and had a lot of the audience singing along with this popular ballad. It was good enough to earn Adam 2nd place.

So that was it! Now it was up to the audience to decide who they wanted to win the heat.

After all the votes had been placed and counted I revealed that the winner of Heat 7 and a place in the Grand Final on the 21st April was....

Amanda Currell !

Amanda accepted her place in the grand final and collected 7 beer tokens for winning the heat.
