Heat 4 of the Rez Factor got underway with a much smaller audience than the week before. But nevertheless we still had six people entering the competition, all eager to gain a place in the grand final.

The first singer on the night was Alan C who sang "Up On The Roof" by Robson & Gerome. Alan seemed to struggle at some parts of the song but still managed to get a nice round of applause as he finished.

Up next was John who sang "Mad World" by Michael Andrews & Gary Jules. As always, John sang this very well and with good power in his voice. He received a good cheer as he finished. This earned John 3rd place on the night.

Singing 3rd was Christine who sang "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. It was a very respectable version of the song although it didn’t seem to go down that well with the audience.

The next singer was Whitby’s own Karaoke Kris. Tonight he decided to have a go at "Mandy" (again) by Westlife. Sung as always in his own unique style, he performed it the best of his ability and surprisingly actually managed to finish in 2nd place (again!)

Emma was our next performer who sang "The First Cut Is The Deepest" by Sheryl Crow. Almost pitch perfect, she didn’t disappoint with a good performance of this popular ballad. She received a very good round of applause at the end of the song.

And finally the last singer was Alan W who sang "White Room" by Cream. Alan tackled this song in his own way and seemed to enjoy it although I’m not too sure that the audience were with him!

So that was it! Now it was up to the audience to decide who they wanted to win the heat.

After all the votes had been placed and counted I revealed that the winner of Heat 4 and a place in the Grand Final on the 21st April was....

Emma Foster !

Emma accepted her place in the grand final and collected 6 beer tokens for winning the heat.
